Tutor In Practice - Back to school

Advise parents and caregivers on minor ailments that affect school aged children.

After months of social distancing, mask wearing and staying at home, it is hoped that schools will return after the summer holidays with fewer restrictions. Whilst this is a positive change, it may come with some challenges, such as increased spread of infections and childhood illnesses. It is important that you are able to advise parents and caregivers on ways to reduce the risk of their child getting ill and how they can treat minor ailments, should they occur.

This module will help you to:

  • Feel confident advising on how to prevent some illnesses in children
  • Know what advice to give to parents and caregivers for some common minor ailments
  • Be able to advise on vitamin supplements for children.
